Can anyone recommend a good carrying case for the Mac Mini? I found one by Targus but it's not in stock anywhere.

Suggestion: You can buy small projectors these days that aren't much bigger than the mac mini. Search for a small one then get the model number and search for the equivalent bag. Pretty much all projectors come with a bag that you can get a replacement for.
Another option would be to buy one of those alloy (or stainless steel?) photography cases that have foam inside. You just cut the foam out to fit the mini.

nothing much smaller/lighter than the box it came in and any other bag...

if anything I am looking at a small 16-18 inch monitor and then a bag for monitor(iPad), mini and keyboard(testing this configuration otherwise a real monitor)
(sounds like a macbook pro). but I like my Mac mini setup.....
