I want a clear case for my MBA M1 to protect against bumps and scratches. I tried a Fintie from Amazon that has thousands of high reviews but it got cracks in the corners after a couple of weeks and wasn't dropped. Amazon has a lot of cases to choose from but the reviews don't seem to be reliable. Any suggestions?

I have always used Incase hard cases with my 13" and 16" MBP and I have never had any problems with them.

Adding on to a 'not clear option', when I carry my M1 I slip it inside a leather sleeve without any other case, and when I get to my destination, I slide it out and the sleeve doubles as a desk mat. Not sure what other protection one needs except if you are worried about dropping it while transporting it. And I dont haver a plastic case around my computer so it cools more efficiently.
Just a thought.
