they sure are.
there was nothing special about any of the "free" cases. you can go into any electronics store and buy one. hell, i have a brand new smoke incase snap. i dont use it cause i also got a black bumper. i prefer to have the back visible to show off my hard work on the skins.

You can find the Griffin one at Target (for $30). But if you mean you still want to get a free case then just download the case program app and order one, my friend ordered/received his within a week and this was well after the program ended.
