First, I have nerve damage in my hands and a poor grip strength. My fingers will occasionally simply let go especially as the temp decrease. So while I can respect that you don't ever use a case please don't bother sharing that here.

I've got an Otterbox commuter on my iPhone 5 and like it. The Defender is just so bulky. But they don't have a commuter for ipad. I would prefer a non folio case but will get one if that is all I can find. The ATT store had a moshi case but it was too slick.

I'm down to the Otterbox, a Spigen Tough Armor, a Speck Candy Grip, or an iFrogz Cocoon or Breeze. Are there any others I should be aware of?

Jhun80: The guy has an iPad MINI, but you're suggesting a case for the Air?

As for the TS, I'd suggest the Griffin Survivor Play or Belkin Apex 360 cases: both wrap fully around the iPad and have grips around the edges to more easily grab it. Thickens it up quite a bit, but they've got the rubber to add some drop protection. Plus, the "folio" lid is held on by a magnet in the back of the Belkin, leaving it a play through case.

Thanks folks. I hadn't ran across any of those. I'd seen the Griffin Survivor but not the Play. I had to do an amazon order yesterday so I grabbed the ifrogz spongy thing but that's not going to be a long term solution.

Lol, sorry, i misread the title.

Well, I followed the link you posted. It is indeed for the Air. But there was a button to load the Mini version. So it's all good. :p

I'm using the Field Case. It's got great grip, I think you'll really like that about it. I guess you do need to have an acquired taste towards the styling of it though. Otherwise, it's a terrific case to use. It really isn't like any other TPU case. I've used the Tough Armor as well, and while it's a great case, it doesn't compare imo. But if you do want more protection then I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
