I have finally decided to go with the 12.9 vs. 10.5, and having hard time in stores finding any good cases, besides the apple smart keyboard. I want something that is thin, notebook like, you can just slip the pad into and open up, almost like a notebook.... any recommendations? Much appreciated!
post pics if you can or links..

You're gonna have to shop online because the stock is limited in stores for the 10.5 and 12.9. I did notice that Target has some in stock but not a good deal.

I've narrowed it down for you here in the search for a 12.9 portfolio case. I like the UAG and the Tucano cases. They are very durable. UAG Urban Metropolis I've seen in stores and the quality is pretty good. I haven't decided on a case yet, but that one is in my top 3.

Thank you! Yes i have the feeling stock in stores is very limited but not sure exactly why? seems odd, but I can order online... my favorite one is the Moleskine but dont think they make it for the new Gen 2 12.9? Wish they did!

Cost and supply demand. I noticed that Target had a lot of iPads in stock over the holidays. I bet they will have sells to move them soon. And they have been clearing out their warehouse too. You may see older Apple cases in stock that's at least 4-5years old but they still have the old retail price. You can price match but who has an old iPad 2-3 case in stock? lol

these are nice too if you are looking for that style and maybe use a smart cover to pair with the Galen Leather cover.

I just got a Tech21 Impact Clear for the iPad Pro 12.9 (2017) and it’s great! Lightweight and lets you see the original iPad colour. The back is frosted and it’s hard plastic not silicone so it should not yellow fast. In fact they say on their site it has advanced yellowing UV protection.

I use it with the Smart Cover... at home I take Smart Cover off and it still fits properly in the Logitech dock (the one that uses the smart connector).

Bonus is it has pencil holder built in!

Review is for the 10.5 but it’s same case.
