Hey all, so I bought an 80GB iPod Classic. I don't want to open it yet till I have a good case for it. Anybody know of any cases that still fit that were from the 5.5 generation? I really like the blue Incase Neoprene case, but any other recommendations would be wonderful. My favorite case is the Agent 18 polycarbonate shell but I doubt that'd fit.

The Agent18 fits perfectly.

Can anybody else confirm this or have knowledge of this? I love the agent 18 polycarbonate cases and actually can get a pretty good deal on them right now. If it fits I will definitely go out and buy.

There is only a difference of .02 inch in depth between the 30GB 5.5 Gen model and the 80GB Classic. (Same is true for the 80GB 5.5 Gen and the 160GB Classic.)

30GB 5.5 Gen: 4.1 x 2.4 x 0.43 inches
80GB Classic: 4.1 x 2.4 x 0.41 inches

I got the 160GB iPod Classic, and I bought a Griffin CenterStage Case for the 5.5G iPod and it fits perfectly.

I would guess you could get almost any case that fits the 30GB 5.5 Gen and it fit your new one. Two hundredths of an inch is pretty insignificant.

Click wheel cover problem

I just bought an older DLO case for my 80gb classic and while it fits perfectly, i stil have a problem. This kind of case covers the click wheel, which i had wanted, but now i cant use the click wheel. Is my iPod defective or is everyone's like this? It seems like they are less sensitive to touch now and require actual physical skin to wheel touch in order for it to work, similar to the iPhones.

i just got the apple leather case for hte 5.5g which they are selling on their apple store, but i got it somewhere else for much cheaper. it fits my 80 pretty well, but if you turn it upside down it can fall out much easier than the30gig can, but it still fits pretty well.
