Good morning!

I want to try to use my iPad Pro more as a primary computer. This makes it necessary to use a cloud. For example, iCloud Drive.

However, I have now read several times that the provider block accounts unannounced, immediately and irrevocably. If their “AI” believes it has found illegal material.
Important: Not if the files are illegal, but if the AI believes they are illegal.
(Article here for Google and Microsoft, but in German)

I am not well versed in international news. Do you have any credible articles that confirm or refute this for Apple? Or do you have experience with this? I don't want to lose my whole life just because Apple's security AI recognizes a beach picture as child abuse.

Just a thought, but it is always bad practice to put "your whole life" in the control of a total stranger (someone else's computer). If you have to put your stuff on someone else's computer it is always good to have at least two backups (two is one and one is none). Power outages, hurricane/tornado, server malfunction, data center fire, malicious activity, AI stupidity.. you have no guarantee whatsoever that someone else's computer will be available when you need it most.
