I'm hunting for a good case for the IPT and I'm finding that some of them have a small cutout on the top right-hand portion of the screen. Is this where the light sensor is, or does it have something to do with the accelerometer? If a case doesn't have this cutout, will that mess anything up?

Thanks!

yeah, that cutout is for the light sensor. if it's not there, then the light sensor won't work properly, or at all, really.

GRIFFIN black leather case with 2 openings on the upper part ant a flit magnetic cover, Very nice! 24.99 target

Thanks for the info - I'm glad I didn't buy anything that didn't have that cutout. It seems crazy that so many cases are being made without it.

Although I believe in some of the pictures on the ifrogz.com website it looks like they don't have the cut out, they in fact do.
