IMG_0070.PNG When I stream Music with Music Match from apple It fills up my iPad's Cash or the Other the yellow bar in iTunes. I get the Msg. Storage Almost Full. Wile I still should have room like 4 or 5 Gig's of free space. This also makes my camera not work. Apple says this is normal and when I sent it in for repair I was told it is fine. This is like my car telling me I have a full tank of gas when it is half empty. Please help I am at the mercy of Apple Suport.

Well maybe what iTunes tells you on your computer might not be fully correct, but what happens if you tap on Settings in the screenshot provided? Do you really have several gigabytes available in the Settings screen? If not, Settings/General/ Storage on the iPad should give you a good overview of what is taking up the space.

Thank You For looking at my problem ericwn. My understanding as far as temp files or cash files or as iTunes shows it on the computert Other in yellow is as I stream music or video as the temp file grows to about say 120 mb it should clean it out and reuse this space over and over. What happens to me on my iPad air 2 is - the temp file or cash file grows in to one big file depending on my free-space filling the complete drive giving me the msg. Storage almost full when I go to settings it reads zero mb. And will then release 120 mb. And stream on that free space , fill it up and give my the msg. Again, over and over. I can find no way to clean out the cash or other in iTunes . After spending a month sending screenshots to Apple engineers as well as sending it in to them, I am told oh yea that's not an issue nothing wrong here. If I could have reached in the phone I would have slapped him in the face. Thank you for looking Sbldesign

Hm, thanks for explaining in more detail. I don't have a solution at hand myself. I have read elsewhere that some folks had issues with the other category showing up as very large in iTunes. If I remember correctly some users restored their iPads from a backup via iTunes and the restore helped to shrink the category a lot. Of course, make sure you have a backup before you restore the device.

This is a real assholic problem that I have fought with apple over, There engineers say it is normal well **** it is not.
The only way I have found to get around it is to force albums on to the iPad to kill the temp file then delete the music and wala the space is there. I am not about to restore my iPad every freeking other day to get the free space back that is just silly. Apple has real big issues that we ether have to live with or move to windows or unix. Just like any big corporation the give it to us dry and want a thank you. Good luck. Shawn
