Been using the CAT tool for a couple years with great success. Recently updated to Sierra and everything still work ok, but get Kext error on startup. Open the tool and it says kext not working correctly. I'll gladly admit I'm not adept at hacking and simply found this tool to get the most out of my Mac. I'd like to update to CAT 2.4beta but am unsure on process. Any help would be appreciated!

Just to clarify, are we talking about the BSD command "cat" for concatenating and printing files?

The Continuity Activation Tool from GitHub site. Allows Handshake activity with older Macs and bluetooth devices.

Well in that case, never heard of it... I can help with the general principles of compiling a product if that's necessary though, but no experience with the software...

Thanks for the offer. Hoping someone on the forum has some specific experience with the patch. It's very good, just unsure with update process. Also seeking info on the GitHub site, so maybe an answer will come through. Thx!

If you want to update your CAT tool,

1. use the CAT tool to uninstall the one that is installed (Not 100% necessary, but safe measure.)
2. drag the old CAT tool stuff into the trash (the whole folder.)
3. go to https://github.com/dokterdok/Continuity-Activation-Tool
4. click DOWNLOAD THE LATEST BETA that is NOT the green button, but a little lower down. ( Download latest beta )
5. Unzip, and use.
