Hello,
on a 32GB USB-Flash-Stick, I have 10.15.4 mainly for testing.

I wanted to update to 10.15.5 but that failed.

There was too little space on the USB stick.
I recognized that the Sleep-image occupies a huge amount of gigabytes space, so I tried to trash it.

First I disabled SIP.
Than I set PMset hibernatemode to 0.
This way I was able to delete the file and it did'nt came back after reboot.

So, now the 15.15.5 installer ran without problems related to disk space.
After main installation, reboot and "10 minutes to finish".
Final reboot, but nothing was installed, a notice that some installs were not possible.

I tried that serveral times, without success.
Does anyone know, what the reason is?
Thanks for reply

Boot back to your internal drive. Try manually downloading the 10.15.5 combo update on your internal drive and then apply it to your 32GB USB-Flash-Stick.

Thanks Mangus,
I did it with the standard update (not Combo).
The update was on an external HDD. But bootdrive was the flashstick.
I have only Mojave as APFS compatible system and will try some more at a later moment.
Thank you!
