Good morning everyone, I hope all is well! Now all my family are on Facebook and the dreaded Windows and as I love Apple Macs I am out on a limb because Catalina will not run Facebook. In my launchpad I have and icon saying "install High Sierra". Now if I do just that? is it possible to use that issue of High Sierra to run Facebook on the side sort of thing or am I trying to get full membership of Cloud Cuckoo Land?

Very best regards from Keith in Derby.

Hi Keith, when you say you want to run Facebook, what do you mean? The website should work just fine in Safari. High Sierra is older than Catalina, or are you on El Capitan?

Hello Howard, I will try to clarify :- my iMac and my MacBook Air are running CATALINA 10.15.7
I would like to talk to my far flung family (who are all on Windows) but Apple, in their wisdom, will not allow Face book on any OS after High Sierra. I am guessing here and thinking Facebook is 32bit not 64bit but am not sure about that bit! Can I use an icon in my launch pad that says " Install High Sierra", then after installing it run High Sierra on the side to get Facebook up and running??? I still think I am asking for full membership of Cloud Cuckoo land!

Regards from Keith in Derby.

Hi Ritsuka, My family are all on Windows not Apple Mac and as far as I know messenger is not the same as Facebook, similar maybe but not the same (would stand being corrected on that). I am batting on a strange wicket here as I am not really with all this modern technology, in other words "not computer literate". a drongo when it comes to computers and such, but I enjoy messing about.
