I really don't understand this. Is no one using the fullscreen feature of MacOS? Why can't I switch between the open fullscreen windows of the same app with shortcuts.

Give me another shortcut, anything, but the shortcuts simply stop working if the fullscreen mode is on. Even the new hover menu for the maximize button does not work with fullscreen apps. Why?

So here I am, still using contexts to manage my windows, so disappointing. :/ Anyone in the same boat?

You can set a system-wide shortcut for this in:
System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Mission Control -> Move left / right a space

Works for me in Catalina just as it did before.

I can do that with gestures, too. But that's not a shortcut to switch between open windows of a single app.

It works for non fullscreen windows with CMD – < here, but not with fullscreen windows. It's like they changed the whole spaces thing years ago for the fullscreen feature and stopped thinking about it the second it was implemented.

I have to revive this once again. For other people with the same problem: is there another app than contexts that works?
Contexts does weird things, which is not surprising as the last update is from march 2018. But all other solutions I found are equally old or even older.

I don't understand how this is not a more popular problem. Don't others use multiple windows of one app on different monitors and spaces? It's hard to deal with when I have to use the menus with the mouse to switch windows.

Not trying to be dense here - I do use full-screen a fair bit, but I don't tend to have multiple open windows in a single app in Full Screen. But, just testing with Safari it seems that Control < and Control > lets you switch between windows?

All help is very much appreciated! So thanks. I could not replicate the safari behavior though :/

The problem is, that there is no global shortcut to switch between open windows of the same app, that are on different spaces. Fullscreen is just one scenario, I use multiple monitors and having Chrome open on different monitors, no matter if fullscreen or not, has the same issues.

I just tried this with several Safari, Firefox and Terminal windows, all fullscreen. As OP says you can only switch between desktops with Ctrl+L/R arrow. However, in Terminal I am able to use Command+L/R arrow to switch between multiple open Terminal windows, all fullscreen. I even had them on non-adjacent fullscreen desktops with other windows in between and it still worked. I cannot find these shortcuts documented anywhere though. This did not work with any other app.

I think the only workaround here (other than using a custom app - I like to keep my system clean so I use them sparingly) is to group the fullscreen windows adjacent to each other.
