So today with the release of Beta 5 I've realized I've been on Beta 2 for a few weeks.

Even though my Software Update says "Up to Date"

Ive reinstalled the beta profiles and still nothing. Any help on this end?

I am having the same issue since either beta 2 or beta 3. I have tried reinstalling many times the profile. turn off and on auto updates. Mines says "Update not found" "The requested version of MacOS is not available"

What you could try go to the macOS Catalina for unsupported Macs thread download dosdude's Catalina Patcher and download a copy until a fix is found :) it will be in your download folder then I think you can install it from there without creating a usb stick

Here ya go, this should offer you the installer for Beta 5.

Open Terminal and Run:
/usr/bin/open "x-apple.systempreferences:com.apple.preferences.softwareupdate?client=bau&installMajorOSVersion=10.15"

This doesnt work. The updater seems to know what it is looking for, it just cant find the update. I wonder if there is something going on at Apple's end.

solved? - no
hacks available? - apparently yes

but I don't see why anyone would need to 'hack' their system to install software that should be available to people who signed up to Apple's beta program.

Just wait 2 weeks for the official release/sarc
I too have had countless issues, worse than a pc. at least from what I can remember . It has been 25 years since I have used a Microsoft product.
