I used to run Kompozer to edit my web page, but it won't run on Catalina. So I just downloaded two other highly recommended free web editor apps to my MacBook Pro (2015) running Catalina. They get installed, then the computer refuses to open them, saying the developer cannot be verified. I have downloaded them from well established sites, including cnet. One is SeaMonkey editor and the other is Komodo editor.
Is there a way around this, or can someone recommend another free web page editor (similar to WYSIWYG types)?

Thanks.

Have you tried right-clicking on the new app, then choose Open from the menu?
That will usually bypass the security settings. You will still get a window about a developer that can't be verified, but that window should allow you open the app anyway. When you open it the first time, you will be able to launch the app normally after that.

Yea!! Thank you! That did work! I could not right click on it in the LaunchPad, so I went into Applications on Finder and did it. Worked perfectly for both!
Great idea. Thanks!
