MP 1,1-5,1 catalina patch usb not working

plugged in a fresh usb with the patch ready and after i formated the drive where i catalina was going to got a black screen and now i cant get my mac pro to boot cmd r of option on boot does not do anything . just a chime and nothing else . should i try installing mojave on a external ssd from my laptop and see if this gets me anywhere ???

I forgot to mention im using the Radeon rx580 8gb card should I slap the hd5770 back in to see if i get to any boot screen at all ?

Got it back up working with the older card (5770) and also pick up a pci card with a Samsung M.2 drive . This thing flys now .
