Hello everyone,

I would really appreciate if anyone could take the time to help me solve this issue. Currently, I'm having problems updating from macOS Catalina to macOS Big Sur. I've attached the screenshots to give you a better idea of what's going on. I own a Macbook Pro 13'inch mid-2014 that is compatible for macOS Big Sur. When Big Sur came out, I updated it and it almost bricked my computer. Once I was successful updating to Big Sur, I experienced overheating issues and slow performance and decided to downgrade to macOS Catalina. I'm thinking of updating it again to see if it would solve those issues that I encountered before but I'm running into an issue that it can't be updated to macOS Big Sur. Would this be on Apple's end as it's a mid-2014 model and they experienced issues with the update before? If so, please let me know how I should proceed.

Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

I think these models are currently blocked from updating due to the issues you had the first time round.
This might be resolved on Tuesday when 11.1 is due out, fingers crossed.
