So recently, after I installed Catalina I found, like everyone else, Catalina sucks with synology NAS for whatever reason. I got that corrected and can actually find it on network now.

However, my new problem is, I can no longer connect to the NAS while I am using my VPN. This worked on Mojave, and this also works on my current Win10 system as well. So it is something with Catalina ... I cant find anything good out there to help me fix this, do yall have any ideas?

Can you provide more details? Are you trying to connect to the NAS while remote, using synology as the vpn server? Or some other configuration?

Just simply trying to connect to it through IP on browser and connect to server for time machine setup. All doable before Catalina

Found it ... a setting I long disabled came back because of the fresh install. It was a VPN setting for firewall.
