I caved today and bought the 2.33 MBP at a comp USA closeout for $2125 + tax. It was an open box model, but I made the guy take off the security things so I could inspect it, not a scratch (although I've since then found one miniscule nick on the comp near the track pad).

I'm reformatting it now so I can put on Boot Camp and Windows. I caved because I've been doing web work all weekend and I really need to check stuff on a PC and I don't have one and I hate running to the university to use a PC in the lab (which doesn't have wireless) so I have to log onto a PC. Check. Log out. And log onto a mac - on the other side of the lab - to fix things.

Anyhoo, I'm sick of waiting. I prefer instant gratification.

Oh, the MBP looks gigantic compared to my 12" pbook.

(Yes I know this is pretty much one of those useless threads)

But I do have a question, I have a squeaky spacebar. Any ideas?

WD40?

Good luck with your new MBP. I would see an Apple dude just to check that spacebar. How squeaky is squeaky?

I don't want to spray anything on it, esp. WD40 (it smells).

It's kind of a shrill squeaky that could be a little chirping bird.

oy - I guess I will just bring it to the Genius bar later this week. Boo.
