Is it working for you? When I try to watch live game, it says it "needs active Network Connection". I am connected...

Any thoughts?

Video is super small...probably 25% of the screen is black. Sure you can zoom full screen which makes semi decent video look like semi-crap. Sound is still outta synch a tad. I'm using wifi obviously for video. edit: make sure to set Auto Lock to Never in settings.

I'm getting the no connection error after 1-2 minutes myself. I think CBS will have to come out with a quick update otherwise there will be some very unhappy people wanting their $5 back.

Mine fills the screen fine (toggle in upper right hand corner), and the video is great. Only about a 15 second lag from the TV broadcast via DirecTv.

Wetting my appetite for slingplayer mobile for iPhone!

It's been playing for me for the last 30 minutes. I had one "connection required" error on first launching it, but trying again immediately worked and I've been able to watch all three games currently playing.

Anyone who's consistently having problems, where are you located? Perhaps there's a pattern.

It is free in your browser if you have windows, with IE, and willing to install silverlight. Well that's three strikes against me...so I'm forced to watch it on iphone.

ok I lied...did install it on my imac....installed silverlight 2 in firefox and it's much better.

Yep - same problem here. Completely lost connection after about 2 minutes. There are no problems with the wifi I'm on, signal or actual Internet connection. I have tried 4 different games now and all do the exact same thing. Not cool at all. The video quality is also total crap for being over wi-fi.

I'm in SE Michigan.

I just went to their support site via the app page in iTunes and of course you have to register to be able to send a message to them. I just posted a one-star review with details on what happened - hopefully if everyone does the same it will alert them that there is a problem.

The one star reviews are outnumbering the five star reviews and soon will outnumber all other ratings combined. Let's hope this gets back to CBS quickly!!

Make sure you're writing reviews and not just rating the app.

Um this app killed a fully charged battery in 30min. I am not happy.

It's streaming audio and video (video over wifi); that's to be expected. I'm impressed that you were able to maintain your connection for more than 2 minutes.

I have had no connection problems and other than after 30min of continuous watching at work I got my 20% left warning it has been OK, the audio does not sync with the picture after a while.

I was just watching the Michigan game for about 10 minutes without incident. I am on a different wifi network but there were no problems with the one I was on earlier. Hopefully it was a bug in their infrastructure and it's fixed. Is anyone who was having problems earlier not having the problems now? Or is it still the same?

Yea best way to correct audio synch is to exit app every 20 mins or so during a commerical break then start it up again and your golden.

i watched without the connection error last night for quite awhile. I do get the audio sync issue a little more than should be, but you just exit and re-enter. Way better than earlier in the day.

If you had problems yesterday, try again today.

Connection issues over WiFi can have several causes - you might be on a WiFi connection that either doesn't have enough available bandwidth, or something upstream (e.g. your employer's network or your router) has video streaming over WiFi disabled. The app returns the same error message for whatever reason it can't establish a connection, so that is causing some confusion.

If you get successful streaming from a computer, see if the app works by sharing the computer's wired internet connection over WiFi, which would bypass the router's WiFi ... but nothing can be done if video streaming is blocked at work.

Downloaded today and it works well!! Video is not bad and the only issue is the audio is off a little.

Performance is definitely better today as far as connections go. The audio sync problem is quite annoying though.

I figured I wasn't going to pay $5 for something that should be free.

So all the people who wrote the software shouldn't be paid? Geez, what an arse. $5 for video and audio of all the NCAA tournament games and you think it's overpriced. You most be one of the whinos that won't pay for something on the App Store unless it's 99 cents or free.
