So i used carbon copy cloner to clone my current external ssd (500 gig) that is running Catalina 10.15.7 on my 2017 iMac. Once all done and i rebooted into my new drive (Sandisk 2tb extreme pro) after i selected it as my startup disk.. once booted everything is running fine EXCEPT my other external hd and the internal drive in the computer will not show up. I went into disk utility and they show up there but will not let me mount them... it gives an error, sorry i did not write down the error but was the same error on both drives, i am currently booted back into my original drive. My original drive the hd and internal drive show up and they are accessible with no issues.

Any suggestions what i am doing wrong or what i should try?

Boot up from the SSD and get to the finder.
Go to the "Finder" menu and choose preferences/general.
See the options now...?

no drives showed up doing that either.

i ended up finding the problem, when i used ccc i went into tasks and removed things that should have been left on by mistake... on the excluded tab i unchecked everything and didnt read the directions all the way. so i wiped the drive and did another clone and left everything the way ccc has it when it starts and it worked without a issue... moral of the story for me "read the directions" lol...
