Let's say I archive a lot of CDs/DVDs of projects I work on. Is there software for Mac that lets me archive the disc name, label I created for it, file names, etc. that is also searchable?

Basically... an offline CD database...

Yes- we use a program called Disktracker at our office. Works great. Keeps a searchable catalog of all CDs you scan into it. It's dirt cheap.

I second cd finder. It could use a tiny bit more polish, but it's reasonably quick even with my huge archive database and it has a powerful search engine.
