New to Mac here.

I'm having trouble getting the CD/DVD drive door to open. I have a Mac G4 but no apple keyboard. I bought a microsoft wireless keyboard but it does not have the eject key talked about in my documentation.

The CD will mount itself on your desktop. You can either press command + E

or

Drag the little icon to the trash-can. When you do this, the trash-can icon will change to an eject icon.

Thanks, I got it open, but now I am having trouble closing it. I'm pretty sure just pushing it closed will break it, but since I don't have the mac keyboard I don't know how to close it. I tried ctrl E adn Alt E and nothing I have tried closes it. Oh, as I am typing this, the disk drive closed on its own. However, I would still like to know so I don't have to wait ten minutes every time I want to close something.

F12 is how you open and close the CD bay door on non-Apple keyboards. And closing the drive door by pushing it will not break it. This of course should be done with common sense as it CAN break, if you abuse it. Simply pushing it is generally how I would close the CD drive on my B/W G3, my drive has never had a problem, and its nearly 6 years old.
