CD key help (call of duty)

I had CoD Modern Warfare installed on an HP laptop. I want to switch it to my MBP on bootcamp, but I lost the casing with the cd key on it. I would never download a cracked cd key, but I don't want to use the HP. Is there any way I can view the cd key of my copy of CoD? Is looking at my own cd key illegal?

Launch the game, go into Options>Multiplayer Options> and click on Activation Key and you can read the entire key code.
