cd problem

whever i insert a blank cd on my computer it does not appear on the desktop or in the finder

this also happens on my laptop

i have tried using different cds

any help?

Under iTunes > Preferences > General Tab there's a box with options for On CD Insert. See what's checked there. Mine says Show Songs, and it opens up that CD when inserted. If it's a blank CD, I'm not sure it shows anything to be honest. But if you're trying to burn a CD, it will read it and burn.
