Upgraded my iPhone 7 to iOS 11, and No cellular data after that, restart the phone, and reset the network settings don't help.... Good job, apple!

Seems like it's not something most people have been experiencing. Have you tried taking out your SIM and putting it back in? What about resetting all settings if not reinstalling?

I tried taking out and putting back the SIM, didn't work. Not tried to reset all settings, that's something I am afraid to try without taking some time to back up the data

Yep, we have this on two devices, both with different carriers. So, likely not a carrier issue, although can not say for certain.

Devices effectively useless on cellular internet. Home, office, etc WiFi is fine.

Any assistance much appreciated.

Carriers being mentioned, did you look for a carrier settings update in the About section, within Settings?

Thank you for taking the time to comment. Yes, I did look. And I spoke with each of the carriers who claim there would be no need on their side to upgrade.....

Call your cellular provider and verify they haven't turned off cellular data. Mine did. My wife could call, but no data. Also, check settings, cellular, cellular data and see if it's toggled off.

Thank you for all your kind suggestions. Had done all of that.

Now in speaking with a colleague whilst at brunch, they have had the same issue. Oh well, simplest solution is to put the phones on the shelf for a week or two while the paragons of service, Apple and the carriers, decide who is responsible. Break out the Blackberries - at least the don't fail in phone and data quality.

Go to settings and then about and let your phone download the latest carrier update file. Be on wifi and that should get thyou network back.

Thank you, but had tried that and spoke with the carriers. For the time being, just another paper weight. Admittedly, an all to common experience with Apple products these days.

I really feel there is a hardware issue here. I have been through multiple forums and never have I heard about the issue except for this thread. Even if you search there are very few of you here. May be Ios 11 breaks something in a select few devices. Either way, you are eligible for a replacement.

Thank you for your reply.

Well, the phone is out of the warranty. Although I guess the extended Apple Care is in place. However, I am having less and less faith in that given the issues with the new MBP keyboard - onto the fourth keyboard.

I think the easiest path of resistance is to put the phones on the shelf for a couple of weeks, do not upgrade anything with the iOS11.

Did you try erasing all contents and settings and restore from backup?

Unfortunately, yes. I say unfortunately as it took time and provided no result.

I fully suspect it is an issue of either one or both Apple and carrier not speaking with one another. Such is life with Apple.
