So my iPhone XS on iOS 12.1.1 has had the cellular internet connection stop working on 2 different occasions so far in the 1 month that I have owned it, it was brand new when I bought it.

When the cellular internet has stopped working phone calls has still been possible, so it has only been the actual internet connection which has stopped working so far, meaning no apps that requires internet are working, and not possible to reach the internet through the phones web browsers. It just keeps trying to load the page, no error messages.

When i turned on Airplane mode briefly and then turned off Airplane mode again the cellular internet has started working again.

I have also sometimes the problem that when the phone is locked and I get a call I can't move the slider to answer, its stuck, so i end up missing the call. But i´m pretty sure that problem is unrelated?

So I have tried restarting the phone but that did not help. I have not updated the iOS firmware and I don't want to do that at this moment, but I´m not too positive that would help if going by past experiences, I can't remember a single time when an iOS update has fixed any of my previous iPhone problems.

So any ideas what might cause this and if there is any fixes for this?

I've been having the same issue for the last few weeks on my T-Mobile XS. Unfortunately, I'm not sure of a fix. I'm pretty sure it's a bug relating to the Intel modem they've switched to. I've had more problems with my XS than I've ever had with any of my other iPhones.

Yes same here, I have also never had as much problems on any of my earlier iPhones as on my Xs.

I really hope its not a hardware issue because then that would mean it can't be fixed with a firmware update?

Yeah I have a feeling this problem is pretty common and is linked to the modem like tjwilliams25 said, the question is if its a hardware problem or something that can be fixed through a firmware update?

I haven't contacted Apple about it, but they would probably just suggest one to update the phone to the latest firmware (most people probably already are on the latest firmware), and if that doesn't work they maybe tell you to ship it to Apple for a repair case, and then they will maybe swap ones nice looking phone against a refurbished phone that looks worse than your old one, and also the refurbished phone may or may not have unknown problems, or even the same problem?

So far in this thread it has only been Xs iPhones, I'm curious if anybody with a Xs Max iPhone also has this problem, or if it only affect XS iPhones?
