I saw some iOS 9 notes on a website that states you could use your cellular data and combine it with your wifi, if the wifi connection was poor.

It also stated that this wasn't available for everyone? I didn't see anything in the notes for it so I assume this is a myth?

I'm not sure honestly. I have noticed a difference in some situations though. At work the wifi used to get very slow from time to time, but I haven't noticed a slowdown since using this setting (I got the GM last week).

If you don't have a lot of data on your plan you might be cautious.

Luckily my plan is 20Gb per month.

I normally tether from my iPhone as the internet at my current living location is poor! I've turned it off for now as I know it would eat the data.
