I was doing Face Time with my Mom and at first I was liking the feature and then it got tired fast. I hope Apple adds the ability to:

- select a priority person to focus on when there are more than one person on screen
- adjust the speed of following the person
- adjust the field of view
- add depth of field

For now I turned it off and will manually adjust either myself or the device.

Anyone else loving or not loving the feature?

I like the feature, but I think it definitely messed up my Zoom settings. For example, I noticed that after I used Center Stage once and then turned it off, suddenly my face is no longer centered. Before Center Stage, my face was centered in Zoom when I placed my iPad straight ahead of me. Now, I need to turn my iPad at an angle to get myself centered.

I don't know if it's a software setting, but I regret turning on Center Stage if this is always the case.

Interesting. I launched Zoom for the very first time on the iPad without Center Stage and it wasn’t centered as well. I turned on the basic Camera app and it’s the same non-cantered framing that’s being passed on to Zoom.

So I’m not sure if it was really centered to begin with or it’s the stupid camera placement.

Yeah, that’s the weird thing. Before Center Stage, my Zoom camera setting was dead on center. Never felt like I needed it. But after the update, Center Stage launched automatically and ever since then, my camera placement has been off… I don’t know if it’s on Zoom or Apple, but now I’m debating on whether to purchase a separate web cam for these calls.
