No they dont all support it. Obviously games don't. But many major apps like facebook and spotify don't support it. After 2 years I've given up hope. If developers haven't done it now they never will.Does an app have to be optimized for split view function, or do all apps have the ability to support split view? I'm finding that I can't split view certain apps and I was wondering if this was normal in iOS 11.
thanks.
Apple really should make it a required feature for all non-game/video apps. It's ridiculous that even Google's apps don't support it.
Google's apps recently added support for this. Finally.
Yes, the developer would have enabled the split screen in code.Does an app have to be optimized for split view function, or do all apps have the ability to support split view? I'm finding that I can't split view certain apps and I was wondering if this was normal in iOS 11.
thanks.

All you can do is complain to the developer.Makes no sense for Spotify not to be supported. Works well on Android.
AFAIK iPad Air doesn’t support splitview on iOS 11 because it just have 1G ram! Wonder why it is supported on ios 10 though?

I’m now used with slide over since it gives quick multitasking
Well said! I don’t know why that isn’t already the case after so many years.I said it 3 years ago, I will say it again. Apple really needs to make this feature opt out for good reason (e.g. it's a game) instead of opt in so developers cannot just ignore the existence of split view.
