CF Reader for your MBP ExpressCard Slot

Finally, a solution for those of you waiting:

It sticks out a little bit, but oh well. I really wish Apple had used 54 instead of 34 so we could get a reader that fits all the way inside the MBP.

CF is not going anywhere, as it is used in all high end DSLRs and medium format backs.

I wouldn't mind a /54 slot either, though to be honest i'd rather stick with 34 than sacrifice any ports...in fact I think my 15" MBP should have more ports.

I do think that having the card reader external to the laptop though is probably a good idea. It would still need a protrusion to be removed anyways, so why not have it accessible so you can change cards quickly?

Awesome! I will definitely get one of those.

I don't mind that it sticks out. Just makes it easier to remove etc. I have a SIIG 11 in 1 express card reader and I always remove it before putting my MBP to sleep. Those readers can also get very toasty when in the express card slot. This design keeps the CF cards cool.
