Challenge: Cheapest MBP 2.4 Ghz within 2 weeks for $2100

Hi everybody,
After nightlong searches and disappointment, I fell in love with the MBP, the 2.4 Ghz 15.4" version in particular, since it offers 256MB VRAM (the actual and only reason I prefer the more expensive MBP) compared to 128MB on the cheaper version.
There are only few disadvantages... Although, I can get the college discount, the 2.4Ghz version seems just too expensive, $2448 after OH-tax (of course there is always a nano you can sell). And also I will be going back to Germany in two weeks, so unless there is a huge deal coming up, I'd like to avoid additional shipping cost.

There is a refurbished MBP at Macconnection.com for about $2000, but that only comes with 90-day warranty (normally Apple gives a 1-year-warranty for those, right?)...

Is there any way I can get the MBP 2.4 Ghz for $2100 at max, without loosing warranty and whatsoever?

The MBP will be hooked up to a 22" LCD, and at higher resolutions, the 256MB VRAM clearly outperforms the 128MB counterpart... If only Apple would offer sth like a $100 VRAM upgrade...

Please help me out guys! :)

How is Half-Life 2 performing on it, with max settings? Any sights on newer games?

Before going home with no laptop at all, I might take it, but it would somehow leave a slightly bitter taste ;-)

LOL, you obviously havent seen HL2 Lost Coast maxed out on a 2.2MBPSR. Seeing is believing!
 
Have you tried going to your college bookstore? some college bookstores will have the MBP's for $100 below the educational price.

Yes, but it is still about $200 cheaper overall then educational discount, making it closer to 2100. Plus, if you call and try and cancel your order, they might offer you $75.

If this helps any, when I ordered the shipping time said it ships in 7-10 business days. The shipping estimates given to me by apple for the order I made on July 10th for a Stock 2.4Ghz SR MBP are:

Ships by: Jul 19 - Jul 24
Delivers by: Jul 23 - Jul 30

I just added mine to the cart, it's probably gonna be too late, so I'll be heading for the Apple-Store tmw, since they said, that all the rebate stuff (student, mail-in nano, printer) can be bought there...(true?)
