My wife recently downloaded Monopoly from GameHouse (v. 1.0.23) for her MacBook. I discovered that it is actually a fun (and addictive) game. Anyway, I got hooked and downloaded it for my MBP. As I was playing, I got interested in how the game actually works. For example, where does it hold the saved game info? Back when I was a Windows person I would use a hex editor or a memory editor to cheat at games. Apparently OS X is different. For the life of me I cannot figure out where Monopoly saves it's data. I have run the game, saved a file, then run 'find / mmin 10' and turned up nothing. I have run the game, opened up the save menu and run lsof piped to a file. Every lsof entry is not related to Monopoly. How the heck did GameHouse do this? You can play a complete game and there are no updated files. How is that possible?

I am running lsof and find as root. From what I can tell with lsof, Monopoly is a flash game. I still can't figure out where it's saving stuff though.

Anyway, I'm posting this to cheat at Monopoly and hopefully more importantly learn about where OS X throws app files.
