Does anything think Apple might add a SSD BTO option in the next Mac Mini?

I dont have a mini yet, but I wouldn't want to do any custom thing/void warranty so I'm holding out for a BTO option from Apple, and hopefully they'll be more flexible in options and pricing than the iMac. Anything to keep the price down to $999 or under would be nice.

If you plan on staying in the same geographic area for the life of the AppleCare warranty, many independent Mac service providers will install a 3rd-party SSD for you and continue to service the machine if it ever needs fixing. If there's a shop near you, it wouldn't hurt to call them up and ask.

As mangrove says, the Apple OEM SSDs are sorely lacking in performance compared to the latest SandForce SSDs (which you can get for less money).
