Is there any way to change my primary apple ID from name@me.com to my new name@icloud.com?

I know I can login to itunes etc using my new @icloud email address but the apple ID is still showing as the old @me.com email address.

When I go to the 'Manange my Apple ID' web page there is not edit link next to the Primary Apple ID and email address for some reason.

Any ideas?

Hi

Since the release of @icloud.com email address anyone with a non-apple email address (mac, me, iCloud) as their apple ID have got the option to make their apple ID and primary email address one and the same, however, this option does not appear to anyone with an apple ID that is an apple email.

For example, on my account (xxx@hotmail.co.uk apple ID) I have the option to change my apple ID to my @icloud.com email address (but clicking submit doesnt yet change anything.

My partner however, who has xxx@me.com as an apple ID doesnt have any option to change the apple ID. I dont know whether once @icloud.com has been fully rolled out the option will be there but at present there is no option for @me.com apple ID's to change their apple ID unfortunately.

I wnted both me and my partner to have @icloud.com apple ID's but it looks as though i will end up having an @icloud one and my partner will have an @me.com one.

Thank you. Hopefully Apple will allow us to fully merge our @me.com to @icloud.com in the future.
