Where do YOU live?
I'm looking for a way to speed up and slow down audio without changing it's pitch. I know about Amazing Slow Downer, but would perfer to use something in a AudioUnits (au) plugin or some other plugin. Does anyone know of a way to do this with a plugin or tip?

The "Pitch and Time machine" in Logic is probably the best standard app for this kind of thing, although the timestretch function in ProTools is good too.

There are other plug-ins, but the good ones are expensive.

I don't want to spend much on a plugin or buy Logic or ProTools (i.e: maximum price = 0 :)).

I found and tried a plugin called speedster (http://airy.andre.online.fr/AU/#speedster) and it sort of worked. The audio kept skipping when tested with a mp3 on an audio track in GarageBand. If anyone gets this plugin to work with GarageBand without the skipping/repeating, please post how you did it.

Download a tool called audacity, open your file, selec all...
Have patience, it's an open source project, but do not underestimate it..
Choose effect: change speed, or change ptich...
have fun, ahhh, be patient
