I'v recently jailbroken my 3.1.3 iphone with redsn0w 0.9.3. I did not change the icon of the boot logo, but now that I'm thinking about it, it would be really cool to put my bands logo there. Would anything bad happen if I ran the redsn0w 0.9.3 on my phone again to get the boot logo there? I already have cydia on my phone so would i still need to keep the "install cydia" checked when going through the process?

Thanks.

You are talking aboout changing the boot-up screen logo, which you might see...what? an average of 1 minute a month?

I guess the effort to put up your band logo on something that only you will see briefly when/if you do a reboot every couple of months would be better directed to something else more useful, in my opinion.

If it were a simple setting...sure...knock yerself out. Just seems like a lot for something that very few people will ever get to see...unless you going around rebooting your phone for people, just to show them. LOL

Lol :D
Well said.
Put that logo up as a wallpaper instead.
This time every time you unlock the iphone it will show up.

Just be sure and check the Already Pwned box if you decide to do it.

Thank you Captain Buzzkill, but that wasn't quite the answer I was looking for.

Thank you dhlizard for the answer I was looking for. However, I still do not know, do I need to check the "intall cydia" box or am I good since it is already installed?

Here is an example of what Redsn0w looks like once it's open.

All you need to check is Already Pwned and Custom Boot logo, custom recovery logo (if you want both)

Don't re-install Cydia or re-JB unless you want a mess.

Disregard the boxes checked in the picture, I "borrowed" a picture from another thread.

You do know the requirements for boot logo .png ? Less than 100K and 320 x 480 pixels max if my memory serves me correctly.

Edit: What an idiot, the requirements are in the pic, perhaps I should have looked closer

I can understand where you are coming from. The first time I jailbroke my phone I couldn't stand the pinapple logo on the boot-up. I did it again just so I could have the regular apple logo.

Is there no way of changing the logo thru SSH?
