Change desktop wallpaper issue

I've got a problem. I think it's related to the fact I've got both Live Wallpaper and Magic window installed (but not enabled).

Currently whenever I log out or restart my wallpaper changes to the default Galaxy and stays there, even if before I log out or restart I set it to change wallpaper every X minutes. This is usually accompanied by a question mark in the preview section.

I have tried completely unisntalling the said wallpaper apps to no avail. Also tried deleting some .plist files such as com.apple.desktop.plist.

Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you. When it was still active I did in fact use Mroogle. I guess I've gotten lazy! Will work through these threads and get back to you if no suggested solution works for me
