change fan settings

i know that the fans kick in when the CPU usage gets to certain percentage. i want to know how i can change that. whenever i watch a video on firefox the process gets up to 70-80% and the fans kick in and gets to the point where i can only here the fans spinning. anyone know a solution?

Well the fans kick in when it gets to a certain temperature rather than a certain CPU %. I don't know of a way to bypass this as it is there so you don't kill your computer.
