Did Ventura remove the ability to set a custom background color to a folder? Thanks!

Below link to youtube video at the time it discusses changing folder background color in Monterey.

By no do you mean its not there anymore, or it is there?

As you can see in below screen shot there is no option to change a folders background anymore. if it's in a new place, I would appreciate you direction as to where it is now.

Thanks!

It's where it always was, but you have to be in Icon view and not in List View like you obviously are...

Wow, never would have figured that out. Why on earth would it only be an option for icon view??

Thanks so much!

Ding ding ding finally the answer after half an hour of searching. I'm sick of Mac OS's too-white-everything view and sought to at least darken the window where the files are shown. Found several articles showing the cmd-J option but none of them clarified that this applies only to icon view.

One reason could be that at least Mac OS alternates the line shading from white to grey to white, etc. for (for once) some ease of use away from all-white-everything. It would be great to be able to shade even slightly the left Folder area or top Menu area away from the same white as the file window. So sick of this all-white reduced ease of use interface. Keep looking for 3rd party apps to alter it but haven't found a great option yet.
