iCloud Change iCloud email from hotmail to iCloud

Hi All,

I have tried searching and totally lost,

My girlfriend has an iCloud account and the Apple ID is her old hotmail email, I want to change this so she can have an @iCloud.com email as her Apple ID, I created a new @icloud email for her but can't change her Apple ID to this new email.

Can someone offer any advise?

Hi. You should be able to do this by logging in here: https://appleid.apple.com/. And then clicking on Apple ID and entering the new address.

I would call Apple Support then because there's obviously something else in play here. I know that this can be done because I did something similar years ago, going from a non-Apple account to an Apple .me account.

How did you create the iCloud email for your girlfriend? Did you create a new Apple ID for her? It sounds like she already has an existing iCloud email that is associated with her current hotmail Apple ID. You could try to find it by going to icloud.com and seeing that existing iCloud email.
