I didn't do my research so now I am totally confused. I helped my parents set up their Iphones with the same id in order to share their apps, music etc. Now they don't want to share contacts. When their phones backed up in the cloud their contacts combined. I see that they can have different cloud ID's, but all instructions say to do this when setting up for first time. Well that has passed. How do I change the cloud Id on one of the phones so they have separate cloud ID's. I have read till blue in the face. I get more confused with each word. I am not extremely tech savy in today's electronics, I am at a kindergarten level. Please help. If I delete account it will delete the main one, how do I create the second one?

You need to have one ID that is shared between them and two separate IDs for their personal data (contacts, cal, e-mail, etc).

I read that, but what I couldn't find was how to fix what I already did. I created only one on both devices. How do I change it to two. I don't see an edit option. The apple id website only lets you change an apple id. If I delete the icloud account on one device what happens to the other. Everything is linked. If there is no fix they will just have to kive with it. I turned off the icloud back up on contacts on one phone for now.
If you delete it from the one nothing will happen on the 2nd. The data is in the cloud. If you delete the account from either (or both) of the phones the data will still be in the cloud.
