Does anyone know if it is possible to change the icon sizes? I know the default size is 118x120 but would it be possible to create your own icons that are different sizes. I don't want to use springtomize2 or any other tweak to shrink/enlarge the icons. Anyone know if this is possible and how to go about doing it? Im guessing that just inserting the icons into my winterboard theme folder will not work, they have to be 118x120 to be recognized.

thanks for the help

Search for how to SSH onto your iphone and change it one by one.
Find icons here: jakurepo.com

There's Shrink. But it applies to all icons. Don't know if that will work for you or not.

^ Also Springtomize can achieve what I think you are looking for.

***Oops lol you mentioned that you didn't want to use that...

You could always buy photoshop or equivalent and resize them using the PSD. Photoshop has been on my wish list for 7 years...

I already know how to ssh into my phone. I'm trying to change the size to something along the lines of 118x600. I want each "icon" to be the entire width of the phones screen so that each row is only 1 icon. As far as I know, sshing an icon that isn't 118x120 will be unrecognized. I don't want to just shrink/enlarge the icon. Any ideas?

Oh sorry, now I understand but I'm afraid I don't know how to help you. Never seen that before. :/

Nobody has any info on how to accomplish this? I really wanna get this figured out.

Surprised no one knows how to accomplish this. Also surprised no one else would want to do what Im trying to do.

That to me sounds like you are going to need photoshop as mentioned above. You'd also have to find all the images to be able to make them that size and also if you'd want a mask around your icon you'd have to create that.

There are some themes already that have the icons that you are seeking. On a 1st page search I didn't see anything but are many pages to look through. Here is a site that is more about theming... Good luck:p

Im going to make all of the icons myself with Photoshop so that is not what Im worried about. Im worried about what I have to do in order for my phone to recognize the icons when I ssh them into my winterboard theme folder.

Ah ok I see now lol:eek:... I would do 1 of 2 things. The 1st I would use the "Summerboard" method cause it is super fast to test out icons with. The 2nd would be more of a finished theme. I would download a theme and drag it on over to the desktop and start replacing icons with your own. In the theme you'll know what each icon will be called, icon-72, small, @2x etc... Sounds like iFile & Gridlock will be needed also!

Anytime I input an icon with a larger size than 118x120, into my winterboard theme folder, the image is not recognized.

I have never tried to do anything but regular icons sizes. Have to tried turning Summerboard on? My only other "guess" would be Dreamboard... Sorry no one else has chimed in I gave it a shot lol... You could head over to Modmyi and PM someone like Blue or Fif7y.

*** Dunno if you're using a empty theme but some plist could be interfering with that?...
