Anyone able to confirm if icons are changeable? In particular, app and folder icons.

System Integrity Protection

https://developer.apple.com/library...acOSX/WhatsNewInOSX/Articles/MacOSX10_11.html

A new security policy that applies to every running process, including privileged code and code that runs out of the sandbox. The policy extends additional protections to components on disk and at run-time, only allowing system binaries to be modified by the system installer and software updates. Code injection and runtime attachments to system binaries are no longer permitted.

If you want to change the system icons just disable SIP, change the icons, and reenable it.

Depends on how you make the changes as well. If you need to substitute the actual icon source files, you might be prevented from doing that. You should be able to work with aliases and symlinks though.

I was able to change them by disabling rootless. I have not tried reenabling it yet.
