Ok so as I await push tones update I want to change that tritone default notification sound that Facebook calls. In the past I did this manually in uisounds>Voicemail.caf. I tried this and it is still using the tritone sounds so it must be calling up a different one. Any idea which one??

Yep!

It's inside the Facebook app itself. It's called chord.wav.

Assuming you have a different tone as a wav file I imagine you could rename the original and name your new one the old filename. It should play the new one then I would think.

Never tested it though. Mine's been playing a completely different tone that's unrelated to anything else and I have yet to track it down.

Actually after some digging it was in the uisounds folder but it was an SMS.caf file that needed to be changed. It's working now :)

Hmmm…thanks for that. I did some digging myself and also changed the sound file. Hope it was the right one! I will find out I guess. But the SMS file I changed was the one that FB was using so I hope so.

LOL, unfortunately for me, no one has made any direct moves that would cause a notification sound for me on FB in the last couple of days. So, I don't even know if some of the other stuff I did is right!

This is the file I changed sms-received1.caf. All my notifications that used tritone are now using the new sound file. :)

Yeah, that's that's the one I changed. Got a notification and I got the old sound. Sigh. Have to take a look again I guess.

Thanks!

Hmm not sure I do know that it have both caf files set to the new sound so maybe the SMS one is just for Facebook and the voicemail one is for everything else?

Hi everyone!
Could you tell me if you are working with iOS 7 or iOS 6?
In iOS 6 I changed SMS notification sounds here:
"Raw File System\System\Library\UISounds"
I changed "sms-received*.caf" files with new ones and worked perfectly.

But now with iOS 7 I can't find "System" folder into "Raw File System"

What am I doing wrong?

Ok, installing afc2add was needed.
Thank you.
