Ok, I know this is a longshot and probably won't work, but I've got this question bugging me and I figured I should ask, if just to get it off me.
While being on system profiler some days ago, I realized that the optical drive in my computer is connected by an ATA cable and I know that older machines use this protocol to connect Hard drives. So the question is, is it possible to replace the optical drive in my machine with another HD with a bit of hacking magic? Or is it simply not possible by some hardware difference?
