I sometimes have to tether my phone, Samsung Note 3, to my MBA and it's been about a year since I set this up.
I've been wanting to change the password and it's simple as pie on the phone but on the Mac, not so much.
I go into Properties>Network select the network but there seems to be no way for me to change the password.
I have already changed the password on the phone but can't do it on the Mac.
Does anyone know how to do this?

If I understand correctly the Mac's wifi isn't connecting to the tethering on the Samsung Note 3 and you're not getting a prompt to enter/change the stored password.

On the Mac, open the Keychain Access app, find the entry for the Samsung's wifi network and then delete it. That will force the Mac to store a new password for the network the next time you try to connect.

That should clear it up - or, go into System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi, find the network in the list, click the Minus [-] button to remove it. Then re-join it.

Thanks for your help. I tried doing that.
Maybe I should try to first delete the wifi and then reboot the computer.

Thanks

Small misunderstanding.

The Mac is connected just fine with the cell phone.
BUT because I haven't changed the password on the connection from the cell phone I tried to change it and it worked fine on the phone however on the Mac I saw no way to re-enter the new password on the same network wifi.
