is it possible to change songs while on the ipod mode using the volume rocker? b/c it is really annoying to type a pass code, click on ipod and then change the song...

I cannot stand these mic/clickers that manufacturers put into earphone cables, so I have set my home button double click to go to the iPod application. At least that way I avoid having to type in the pass code just to skip a track.

skipping songs without unlocking phone

If your iphone is locked, you can simply double-press the Home button to bring up quick audio controls. This works whether you are currently playing music or not, and with or without headphones attached. No need to slide and unlock to skip forward or back a song, or pause.

BTW, double clicking the headphone button in rapid succession changes to the next song, no matter what. I think this was what you were asking.
