Hey!

I moved to another country and decided to switch countries on my Apple ID.

Now both AppStore and iTunes Store show that I have zero bought apps, music, books, movies?? I thought I would lose only those purchase that are exclusive to my previous country store (which I am fine with), but do I have to re-buy all the apps and music again now?

Can anyone help maybe? :)

EDIT: FWIW, I had a VISA card in my previous country and I got a VISA in my new country as well...

This happens because purchased content is specific to the country/region it was purchased in, and sometimes has a different name in a different country/region, making portability impossible anyway. Take as an example: AirCoaster (USA) / SkyCoaster (UK). Both have the exact same functionality, are made by the same developer, but have different names.

I had the same problem. What you should do is switch it back to the country it was in and create a new Apple ID in the country you are not in. Unfortunately you will have to manage two IDs, but at least you will see all your apps and receive all the updates. I wish Apple would wise up and let us merge our IDs and then simply set things up so that we can add payment info for multiple countries within a single ID. It's a headache the way they have it configured. Right now I have to manage two Apple IDs in the US, and a third one in Canada, all with different apps since the first US one was a gmail, then the @me one Apple provides, and finally my third one in Canada.
