I know its too early, but its getting interesting to think about iphone 14. Rumors suggest that we are in for a huge design changes (punch hole design and no rear camera bump but i haven't seen apple changing their design after just one iteration (the iphone 13 design changed just this year and made smaller notch).

I hope Apple continues selling the Mini iPhone. The reason I resist buying this model is because it not a Pro version.

I'd say it's time for more cameras on the 14.

There's no way they'll update the phone visually after only two years of this body style and only one year of the reduced notch size. Apple will stick with the notch until they can do away with it, simply because it's become their differentiator.

I'd expect this to be perhaps a couple of years after Android OEMs pioneer the technology. Keep in mind that Apple not only has the camera to hide somewhere, but also the Face ID sensors. I think it's highly unlikely they'll use multiple holes to fit the required hardware, and whether they'll be able to put them straight under the display remains to be seen.

Even if the notch doesn't go away, I hope we at least get touch ID back in some form whether on the power button or under the display

It’s rumored only pro models are getting punch hole. So the called “new design” is for the rest of models.

I mean 13 ProMAX has the Must have Update 120hz ProMotion. That’s pretty much it. That’s significant Hardware. Otherwise what will the 14 ProMAX offer ?

USB-C ? = Not significant
8GB LPDDR5 RAM ? = will never be used
WiFI 6E ? = Do you even have a WiFI 6 router ?
Rounded Display ? = Yeah I hate rounded displays
A Hole Punch Camera ? = Have you even seen what this is ? Selfie pics will suck.

You all commenting are some of the most pessimistic iPhone enthusiasts I have ever seen. 😂

Also clearly either many of you have not seen Prosser's renders or just don't believe them. Also before you say he is unreliable, he nailed the iPad mini & iPhone 13 renders & the Pixel 6 & many others. Basically if he shows a render something very close to that is 75% guaranteed.

iPhone 14: same design than iPhone 12, 13, refined. Introduction of iPhone air, no button, no port, no notch.

The notch will be on the phone until 2027- the iPhone’s 20th anniversary. Then the hole punch design through at least 2037. the notch and hole punch design differentiate apple from all the loser phones.

I can already picture the greatest and latest iPhone 14:

- Notch size decreases even more by a whopping 10% compared to the iPhone 13
- Fourth camera lens

I give the hole punch rumor and no camera bump about a 10% likelihood. I don't think apple can put all of the face id sensors under the glass. For the camera, they would have to thicken the iPhone to lose the bump. The laws of physics do not support the cameras being in the current form factor without a bump.

This

drives me crazy when people keep going on about how they won’t reduce it just to drop it a year later, of course the non pros are keeping the notch so don’t kid yourselves non pro buyers.

Apple need to make the Pro models better and losing the notch is a start.

The 12/13 has new design? It went back to the 4 design. So I think the 14 will go back to the 6 design, rounded edge.
